Mama-san dump
According to papa-potato this means snow blower in Japanese. That it is the woman's job to clear the snow in front of the house (if a couple lives in a house), but if they live in an apartment, it is the man's job. Hmmmm. Not sure this is fair. But the word makes me giggle, mature I know. But that was the kind of day it was. Being stuffed with other people's kindness and giggling at things.
Deb and I spent the day touring around and the eating at papa potatoes. Topped off by a long walk to the play ground equipment on the other side of town.
Let the extreme survival games begin!
The web of doom, the mountain climb, the two hop bridge, oh yes, fun for all. Playing in the cold air with the moon lighting the land. We climb, we laughed, we raced, we slid. Then we walked back. Grown up again.
Play time. Play time is always good.
I just realized that it is less than a month till I go back to Canada. Less than 3 weeks till all things ECC must be done, photocopied, and ready to be handed to the masses. Less than two weeks till my big Japanese test. Less than a week till my Japanese module test is due. When did time start again? Wasn't the world frozen?
The snow has not come and stayed yet. The ground, waiting. Soon, soon.
I have been having vivid dreams again. Intense. One of the scenes from last night's journey was Christina and I in a house with many doors and windows and we keep running to them. Slamming, shutting, flapping. Trying to keep them close because waves kept crashing against the house. Keeping the water out. Only then did I realize it was ridiculous to keep these giant waves out, so I opened the door and we were in/under the ocean. The water didn't rush in, like I was scared it would prior. It stayed at the doorstep. The answer found and the world frozen, stopped. Next level. The scene changed and I was in a hotel with Marta and two other people I didn't recognize. Elevators, more rooms, strange questions, and time running out.
Who needs tv really? This is the video game of my life.
Now I will dive back into the Japanese I should know. But don't. But that is between us.
Tag you're it!
