The weekend of work
Work work work, it continues. Good that I am distracted from falling apart, but my body is sore and aches from not having down time. Although after collating, Deb, Steve, Laurel, and Megan came to mine and we had pizza and wine. Yep. Good times there. Nothing like a little intoxication after a hell week.
Although the update on Jonn is that they have let him OUT of the hospital. INSANE. The doctors call it conservative treatment, which means NO treatment. A cast over his broken elbow, and the other bones will have to heal without any aid. Strange. It has been just over a week since he fell, and he is already walking the streets again. Someone was smiling down on him.
Thank you to everyone who sent me emails, called, and prayed. I am completely grateful and blessed to have you all in my life!
Ah yes, I spent the morning cleaning my place because my adult class is having their Christmas party here tonight. 4 hours of deep cleaning. My place has never been this clean. Nice to have my office let me stay home to "prepare" for the party. Uh huh.
So the schedule is, tomorrow I leave to Sapporo and we will celebrate Jonn's birthday (thankful that he made it this far), Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, conference in Sapporo. Wednesday is the night of the fundraiser, and my speech. Friday night I will be returning back to Kimobetsu, then on Saturday flying back to Canada. How crazy is that? I still have no clue what to pack, nor have I let myself think about it. Soon though, soon. Rest is coming.
