Magic Mud
Wearing my long purple skirt, and a white t-shirt I turned into the kindergarten teacher rock star. I love it. I made green magic mud and brought it to school. The kids loved it. That I figured would happen. But the best surprise was when I showed it to the people at the board of education. They rolled up their suit sleeves and dived in. It was GREAT. They were playing for a good 5 minutes each, which is probably a lot longer than they have in a long time. So all is fun and playful here. Making zombie sounds and yelling out how gross it feels, then thrusting their hands in for more. What's left now is a couple of died green hands from the mud, but big smiles, oh right, and suits. Can't forget we are grown ups here. Who would have thought cornstarch and water and a little bit of food colouring would bring such magic?
