Is a great site. Not only does it give you the regular blah blah blah about the place, it also allows you to write or read other people's travel journals. Which is great if you want to know what place to skip or a must see.
For example, most people know I have been keen on going to Portugal and so I went to rough guides, checked out what they had to say. Then I went into the journal section and found out that there is a church there made out of human bones!!! Isnt that wild?

And this is the journal post that I read:
"I am usually not very big on seeing churches, but the gruesome and compelling Capela do Ossos in Evora is a must see as far as I'm concerned. This chapel is attached to the large cathedral which is in the center of this walled town. The walls and ceilings of this chapel are constructed with the remains of over 5,000 corpses. The bones are organized and put together in such a way as to form patterns and textures.
The history of this form of architecture is interesting. A now defunct order of monks felt that a church built almost entirely of human bones would help your average sinner remember that life is fleeting, and hopefully this would compel him to lead a more Christian life. There are three chapels made of bones in Portugal.
There is a very small admission charge, I can't remember exactly, less than a dollar- but I do remember there was an additional charge to photograph the inside.
Upon entering the chapel the first thing you see is a sentence carved into the marble lintelpiece above the doorway.
The macabre translation:
Our Bones Wait Here For Your Bones"
WOW is all I have to say!!
