December
Somehow December has crept in. Snuck through the cracks in the door. A cold draft. Deadlines. The month of deadlines and decisions.
Sneakers or heels?
Asia or North America?
Hermit or socialite?
Jock or artist?
I have been caught in between all I wish for, never knowing that all wishes can come true. Which path do you take when you see traces of you on each one?
Meant to do more, meant to do more? What values have we placed on happiness? Have we?
Questions, the questions keep coming.
A bad day today. I woke up with unbearable pain. My head, my body, everything. Did a steam roller drive over me in the night? I somehow managed to get to bed, and after taking 2 tylenol first thing in the morning, two midol at mid morning, and two advil at lunch, I managed to make it through my afternoon.
Welcome back fibro, it's been a while.
What do you do when you feel tired and ill but the thing that makes you ill is sleep? What do you do when all you want is a few more minutes of rest, and that turns into hours, could be days...
A continual battle.
But my work day ended by playing with a puppy and then playing soccer in the snow with a bunch of elementary school kids. Running in the frosty air, a lit up tree in the park. A good way to end a steam rolled day.
Now I am looking for my head. Have you found it? It leaves me from time to time. Abandons ship when the pain gets too much.
Way to go captain!
