On Saturday (there was a typhoon in Okazaki), but Marta and I decided to go to Kamakura anyway and take our chances. Why? Well I have always wanted to go, and this time, I had arranged to meditate with the monks on Sunday morning in a bamboo forest!!!! Seriously, how AMAZING IS THAT?!? So to add the pleasure and fun, Kamakura turned out to be simply an amazing place. Small town beach feel but really a city, and temples everywhere. Not to mention artsy stores and gorgeous zen gardens. Anyway, the experience was amazing, and there is a much larger story to be told. But not right now, I am late for a dinner.
